An abstract work with a dynamic composition of shapes, lines, and colors, the color palette is dominated by shades of red, ranging from deep crimson to bright orange, with contrasting elements in black and touches of green and white. The forms in this painting are fluid and organic, with some semblances of geometric shapes that don't fully resolve into recognizable objects.
Roberto Matta was known for his surrealistic and abstract approaches that often explored the psyche and complexity of the human mind through a spontaneous and expressive method of painting. His work frequently delved into the realm of the unconscious, where forms and colors coalesce into dream-like images that evade literal interpretation.
